In what order is a Viking dishwasher checked?
Standing water is followed downstream: the filter, the sump, the drain hose with its high loop or air gap, then the drain pump.
Gritty glasses on the top rack send us to the spray arms and their holes, and to how much water the machine takes in — a clogged inlet screen short-fills every cycle.
A dropped door on a panel-ready unit is usually the hinge springs or their cables giving way under the weight of the custom panel. A leak at one corner on the heavy cycle only is traced with the machine running and the kick plate off, because a seal, the tub and a fitting can all drip onto the same spot.

What happens when a panel-ready dishwasher has to come out?

- Floor protected, and the kick plate removed to reach the supply and the drain.
- Brackets released where the unit is fixed to the countertop or the cabinet sides.
- Eased forward with the custom panel guarded, the hoses and cable followed out so nothing is pulled.
- Set back and levelled, secured again, then run with the kick plate off while the corners are watched for drips.
